Mental Health First Aid England's Youth MHFA Two Day course qualifies you as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.

Youth Mental Health First Aiders have:
  • An in depth understanding of young people’s mental health and factors that affect wellbeing
  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
  • Confidence to reassure and support a young person in distress
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
  • Knowledge to help a young person recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s through self-help sites, their place of learning, the NHS, or a mix – engaging with parents, carers and external agencies where appropriate
  • Ability to support a young person with a long term mental health issue or disability to thrive
  • Tools to look after your own mental wellbeing


When you complete the course, you will get:
A Youth MHFA manual to refer to whenever you need it, a workbook including some helpful tools to support your own mental health and a certificate of attendance to say you are a Youth Mental Health First Aider.

LEVEL 3 Emergency first aid

Level 3 in Emergency First Aid - £69 per person- 1 day course


The course is delivered in an informative, fun and innovative way by experienced APA tutors. It is ideal for individuals who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and First Aid. 


By the end of the course learners will understand the theory and demonstrate how to safely deal with emergencies. Handling `life threatening` situations is covered, as well as recognising and responding to some of the more common ailments that may be encountered in the community sport environment.
 Course content:
  • What is first aid?
  • What are your roles and responsibilities?
  • How to conduct a primary survey.
  • How to manage an unconscious casualty.
  • Seizure management.
  • Treating a casualty who is choking.
  • Treating a casualty who is in cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Treating wounds and bleeding and the identification and treatment of shock.
  • Treating burns and other minor injuries.
  • How to prevent cross infection during first aid.
  • Legal aspects of first aid.
 During the course learners will complete a short practical and written assessment and on successful completion, will receive a regulated and nationally recognised certificate.
